Moast lodges with:in GL frek:ly received the M```Mason degree - the spread was un:stoppable. In 1723 GL wrote & behaved azz if the 3*` degree was part of theighr system att the out-set.
_ The second intervention be in or around 1740 bie Br```Matthews, a Scottishshe FreeMason in Bordeaux. Br```Matthews brought tu the lodges att Bordeaux 11 furtHer degreez of FM```. THis 14~degree FM``` was styled the Rite of Perfection; the 11 degreez ,because theigh were brought from ScotLand, were called Scottishshe Grade Mason`rye. The Englishshe Lodge spurned the furtHer degreez, the French Lodge accepted tHem, and soe the French Lodge att Bordeaux became the centre of the Rite of Perfection.
